Mō te tūranga mahi | About the role
The Enterprise Risk team are on a journey to lift risk maturity and have developed a three-year strategic roadmap to make a step change in ACC's risk performance.
Working across the business, the Senior Advisor, Enterprise Risk will support the development and implementation of ACC's risk frameworks, tools and guidance to lift risk management capability. Reporting to the Manager Enterprise Risk, this varied role works closely with the Lead Advisors in the team, 1st line Risk & Compliance teams, 2nd line specialist functions and the wider risk community to promote a risk-aware culture.
Ngā Haepapa Mahi | Key Responsibilities'
- Training and awareness: Manage ACC's risk management training programme, including delivering foundational training as well as specialist training across a range of risk-related topics.
- Continuous improvement: Maintain and continuously improve ACC's risk management framework, tools and guidance.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with Lead Advisors, 1st line teams and 2nd line specialist functions to embed risk management practices.
- Risk reporting: Administer ACC's risk reporting tool and support the development and implementation of risk reporting to meet business and governance needs.
- Enterprise Risk work programme: Take the lead on specific initiatives and engagement with key stakeholder groups to deliver the Enterprise Risk work programme.
The base salary range for this role is $101,287 - $142,993 with appointment depending on skills and experience and internal relativities. ACC also offers 9% superannuation on top of base salary.

Mōu | About you
We're looking for:
- Proven risk management experience: You will have three or more years' experience working in a 1st line or 2nd line risk function in the private or public sector.
- Knowledge of risk management best practices: Sound knowledge of, and practical experience in, best practice risk frameworks, systems and processes.
- Risk management training experience: Prior experience in delivering risk management training and facilitating risk workshops
- Excellent presentation skills: Including advanced knowledge of PowerPoint.
- Emotional intelligence: Demonstrated through sound judgement, even temperament and the ability to influence and motivate others.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt quickly to new information or areas of work and manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication skills: Both written and verbal.
