Te tūranga - The role and your impact
The Reserve Bank is engaged in a multiyear programme to implement the Deposit Takers Act 2023, and administer the Depositor Compensation Scheme (DCS), to promote the prosperity and well-being of New Zealanders by protecting and promoting the stability of the financial system. Within the Directorate of Enforcement and Resolution, the DCS team is in an establishment phase.
The Senior Analyst is expected to play a key role in developing and delivering the DCS work programme. This includes providing high quality analysis of regulatory obligations for DCS, as well as ensuring these requirements are met. The Senior Analyst will also be contributing to processes and frameworks of DCS pay-out readiness, levy and fund management, industry engagement and core DCS documentation and reporting.

- Strong analytical skills and conceptual mindset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to represent the Reserve Bank credibly.
- A pro-active approach to managing workload, identifying new initiatives and seeing them through.
- A willingness to get involved as required to support the wider DCS Operations team deliverables.
- A strong academic qualification in banking and finance related disciplines.

The anticipated appointment range for this role is $101,291 to $112,545 (actual salary will be dependent on your skills and experience).
