The Electoral Commission is looking for two Systems Analysts to join the Information Technology team. You will be part of a great, supportive, and fun group - enhancing the Commission's digital capabilities as it seeks to modernise the way we deliver electoral events and maintain our electoral rolls. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who want to create an energetic and committed team.

The roles will challenge you to think pragmatically and strategically to solve problems and deliver value to the organisation and the country. You will mature and develop our capabilities in software design, testing, and operations to support ongoing activities and to deliver an event critical to our democracy.

The salary band for this permanent role starts at $85,453- $94,948 reflecting the skills and experience of the successful candidate.

Mōhou ake | About You

You are excited and eager to take responsibility for small to medium sized applications and for components of large applications that deliver critical election delivery functions and corporate capabilities. Understanding that systems should be kept to high quality standards, you can work with developers and subject matter experts alike to test and assure functionality.

We are seeking candidates who:

  • Have experience in the build, deployment, and maintenance and operations of IT applications and systems.
  • Proven ability in analysing and documenting requirements.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of quality assurance processes and ability to undertake testing activities.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

  • Support and manage software applications including changes, defects, and enhancement requests from users.
  • Design and execute software test cases to verify systems and applications meet acceptance criteria and deliver business benefits.
  • Lead work packages for development teams, managing system changes and enhancements via regular recycles.
  • Define and manage scope, requirements and prioritisation for moderate changes and assist in more complex change initiatives.
  • Be the product owner for one or more software products or services and align activities to the product roadmaps.
