• Working rostered and rotating shifts Monday to Sunday across mornings, afternoons and nights.

About the Role

We are looking for a Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Emergency Nursing. Applicants with other clinical experience may be considered if they can demonstrate the potential to work in our Emergency Department.

About the Team/Service/ Location

We have a small but busy Emergency Department at Wairau Hospital with 2 resus rooms and 13 treatment spaces and provide a supportive and nurturing workplace to assist staff to meet the challenges of this diverse area, at the frontline of the acute health care service.  Professional development is important to us and we encourage all staff to participate in training and education.

We work hard, we do a fantastic job, and we enjoy doing it. Most importantly we achieve more by doing it together.

About you

• You will be a NZ Registered Nurse with a current NZNC practising certificate and will have at least two years of post-registration nursing experience.
•  You'll enjoy the variety and challenge of a rapidly changing environment and will be a team player, who enjoys keeping up to date with clinical practice, with excellent organisational and time management skills and a commitment to quality.
