Mō te tūnga | About the role

In this role, you will contribute to the effective delivery of housing supply across Aotearoa, working as part of a team to negotiate, advise, and provide strategic insights into housing projects.'You will be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to negotiate and evaluate new funding applications for housing supply. You will support the assessment of value for money, providing analysis and recommendations to inform decision-making
  • Applying'knowledge'of the commercial environment'and property and/or project finance, to'analyse the structures and cost of housing development project proposals
  • Identifying commercial and financial risks related to housing projects and recommending actions to mitigate risks
  • Involvement in ad-hoc projects from across the organisation where your skills may be required and informing policy settings as relevant
  • Engaging with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to build and maintain relationships that support the successful delivery of housing initiatives.
  • The salary range for this role is $102,699 - $125,521 + 3% Kiwisaver contribution.

This is a unique opportunity for someone with a background in finance, banking, accounting, or property development, to'join our Delivery team.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant field
  • Understanding of a broad range of housing solutions including negotiating funding models and analysis
  • An understanding of property or project finance and experience of financial analysis in the property/housing or infrastructure sectors
  • Good working knowledge of Excel
  • Ability to apply critical thinking, challenge the status quo and deal with ambiguity
  • Organisational skills to manage multiple projects/deliverables at the same time
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex messages in a simple and succinct manner
  • A proven track record of building and maintaining effective working relationships internally and with external stakeholders
