Clinical Physiologist - Cardiac at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Waitaha Canterbury, Christchurch

  • Part time fixed term opportunity (35hrs per week) for a Qualified Cardiac Physiologist
  • This role will run from end of June through to 26 December 2025
  • Based at Christchurch Campus

About the Role

As a Qualified Cardiac Physiologist, you will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a tertiary hospital which is the electrophysiology and ICD centre for the South Island of New Zealand. 

About you

We are seeking a qualified cardiac physiologist to join us in this fixed term opportunity. You must have a Theoretical understanding and practical competency across the Cardiac Physiologist scope of practice.

  • Independent in Catheter Laboratory
  • Independent in analysing Holters
  • Experience with CIED implants and follow up
  • Observe professional ethics and demonstrate professional responsibility and accountability Professional interpersonal skills and proven ability to create effective working relationships
  • Effective time management skills
  • Meticulous attention to technical detail
  • Ability to adapt under pressure

Essential Qualifications/ Registrations

  • Current Practising Certificate
  • Membership of SCT
  • BSc Physiology or equivalent
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Technology
  • Certification of Cardiac Physiologists
