Continence Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Te Toka Tumai Auckland, Auckland

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Adult Community Services team at Te Toka Tumai Auckland. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic nurse leader with specialist expertise in continence to provide clinical leadership, drive best practice, and improve outcomes for patients living in the community.

About you

  • You will be a Registered Nurse with a current APC and hold a postgraduate qualification in continence care or a related field.
  • You’ll have a minimum of 5 years’ clinical experience, including working at a senior or advanced practice level.
  • A strong understanding of continence assessment, treatment planning, and education is essential.
  • You’ll be confident working autonomously and collaboratively across primary and secondary services.
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity, partnership under Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and culturally responsive care is essential.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide specialist continence assessments and interventions to adults living in the community.
  • Act as a clinical resource and advisor to nursing and allied health staff.
  • Lead education and quality improvement initiatives in continence care.
  • Engage in service development and research to enhance continence services.
  • Partner with whānau and community providers to ensure equitable and accessible care.
