About the Role

Expressions of interest are invited from suitably qualified candidates for advanced training positions in Internal Medicine and specialties at Waikato Hospital. The positions that may become available for 2026 are in;

Cardiology / Diabetes / Dermatology / Endocrinology / General and Acute Medicine / Geriatric Medicine / Haematology / Medical Oncology / Neurology / Palliative Care / Renal / Respiratory / Infectious Diseases / Rheumatology

Eligible applicants must have passed the RACP clinical examination OR have passed the part 1 written examination with plans to sit the clinical exam in 2025.

Positions in a range of specialities are available and may become available over the course of the 2026 - 2027 recruitment process, not necessarily just in February 2026 so please register your interest. We encourage you to contact individual Heads of Department to discuss your application.

About you

As an Internal Medicine Advanced Trainee, you will be………

  • RACP clinical examination OR have passed the part 1 written examination with plans to sit the clinical exam in 2025.
  • Interested in broadening your clinical exposure
  • Eligible to work in New Zealand
