About the Role

LabPlus at Auckland City Hospital is seeking a joint trainee with the RCPA to fill an Immunopathology Registrar position. An accredited training position with the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia.

As the tertiary referral medical laboratory of Auckland City Hospital, LabPLUS is an IANZ accredited medical laboratory and is one of New Zealand's premier laboratories. We offer a comprehensive pathology service for Auckland City Hospital, National Women's Hospital, Starship Childrens Hospital, and the Greenlane Clinical Centre. LabPLUS is also a major referral laboratory for specialised laboratory tests for New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.

By joining the Auckland Region as an Immunopathology Registrar, you will join our positive and supportive team at LabPlus based in Auckland City Hospital. Come and experience our diverse demographic population.

Working in Auckland

With a population of 1.4 million, the Greater Auckland region encompasses 4 distinct cities. From the sparkling beaches and islands of the North Shore, skip out West for breathtaking scenery, vineyards, bush and surf. Top it off by visiting the markets of South Auckland before heading into Central Auckland for good food, coffee, local wine and beer and an array of cultural events. Working standard Monday to Friday hours, you will have time to enjoy what Auckland has to offer.

About you

  • You will preferably be a joint trainee with the RCPA
  • An Australasian trainee
  • Eligibility for registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand. Check if you’re eligible here
