About the Role
We are seeking an Obstetrics & Gynaecology (O&G) Registrar to join our Obstetrics & Gynaecology department here at Hawke's Bay Fallen Soldiers Memorial Hospital.

In this role there is a breath of experience available and responsibilities which include managing the acute obstetrics and gynaecology service and the care of inpatients. You will also be expected to attend Women’s Outpatients clinics, Operating Theatre sessions, the Emergency Department and the Early Pregnancy Clinic. There may also be occasional requirements to attend outpatient clinics at sites within Hawke’s Bay.

About the Team/Service/ Location
The successful candidate would join a team of 8 Registrars, you will have the full support of 7 Specialist Consultants and work closely with 8 House Officers.

Hawke’s Bay Hospital is a 400-bed secondary level public hospital in Hastings, serving a population of over 180,000 people. We are supported by a strong regional ICU and flight team with tertiary support for cardiac intervention, cardiothoracic surgery, plastics and neurosurgery from Wellington, ensuring comprehensive care for a diverse patient population.

About you

• You’re a Resident Medical Officer (RMO) PGY3 or above
• You have completed at least a six month placement at Registrar level within an Obstetrics and Gynaecology service
• You are registered or eligible for general registration, with the Medical Council of New Zealand
