About the Role

As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator in our Cancer Service, you will take a leadership role in managing and coordinating nursing care across the continuum for patients with cancer. Your day-to-day responsibilities include developing and implementing clinical protocols, facilitating communication among multidisciplinary teams, and driving quality improvement initiatives. You will also be the point of contact for staff development and patient education, ensuring that best practices are consistently delivered to improve patient outcomes.

About the Team/Service/ Location

Our Cancer Service team is a collaborative group of dedicated healthcare professionals, including nurses, oncologists, allied health staff, and support workers. Together, we aim to deliver comprehensive and compassionate care to patients and their families throughout their cancer journey.

About you

As a successful candidate, you will have:

  • Current registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and a valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC)
  • Extensive clinical experience in oncology or a related specialty, with a strong background in service coordination or leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and drive clinical improvements
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills
  • A commitment to culturally safe, equitable, and patient-centred care
