Lecturer - Finance at Massey University, Auckland

School of Accountancy, Economics and Finance - Albany Campus, Auckland

Te Kunenga ki Pūrehuroa Massey University is seeking a full-time ongoing Lecturer in Finance to join our dynamic and globally accredited Massey Business School at the Albany campus. This is a fantastic opportunity for an early career academic with strong research potential and a passion for teaching and learning.

You will be expected to contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in Finance, supervise Masters and PhD students, and develop a strong research profile. Experience or research interest in Financial Technology (FinTech) is desirable.

This role supports Massey's commitment to being a Tiriti-led university, and applicants who demonstrate cultural competence and the ability to engage with Māori, Pacific and diverse learners are strongly encouraged to apply.

The Lecturer salary band for this position is $83,201- $106,185 based on skills and experience.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A PhD in Finance or Financial Economics (or be near completion)
  • A developing research agenda with evidence of publication potential
  • Teaching experience in tertiary education
  • A collegial, collaborative working style
  • An understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and a willingness to embed its principles in your work
