Housekeeper, Wairau Hospital, Permanent Part-time

About the Role

As a Housekeeper, you will clean internal and external departments in and around Wairau Hospital. Duties involve: cleaning patients rooms and bathroom areas, general areas such as offices as well as Day Stay and Specialist Centre.

The role will suit someone with experience in cleaning/customer service OR someone with no experience but a passion for being part of one of New Zealand - s fastest growing sectors and see how a hospital ticks. 

In addition to hourly rates, we pay penal rates for evening and weekend work, Kiwisaver and additional payments/time off if you are rostered to work on a public holiday. 

This is a permanent, part-time role working 40 hours per fortnight (0.5 FTE), Monday to Friday, 4.30PM to 8.30PM. No on-call is required. Working after 8.00PM will be at a different rate.

About you

As a Housekeeper, you must be reliable, have a positive attitude and consistently deliver a high-quality, customer-focused service.

We are looking for an entry level or experienced household staff member to be part of our dedicated team contributing to the hospital running smoothly. You will make our hospital a place where people can get better safely, families can visit in comfort, and staff can do great work in a hygienic and safe environment.

Full training will be provided.
