Retinal Screening Photographer/Coordinator at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Waikato, Waikato

  • 26 Clarence Street, Hamilton and/or Waikato Hospital
  • 1.0 FTE, 80 hours per fornight

About the Role

  • This is an exciting opportunity to join the retinal photoscreening team, taking digital images of patient’s eyes as well as some administrative duties.
  • This is a mobile service travelling to a new area each day across the Waikato region. There will be the occasional requirement for an overnight stay.

Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Take digital images of the eyes of people with diabetes
  • Process referrals
  • Book patient appointments
  • Process clinical data and results

About the Service

Te Whatu Ora Waikato Regional Diabetes Service provides secondary level care to those within the Waikato Region. This expands as far as Coromandel, Taumarunui, Te Kauwhata and the Raglan coast. We have a large multi-disciplinary team and promote a positive approach to teamwork. We are committed to and support the learning and development of our staff to give the best possible care to our patients.

 

About you

Skills and experience you’ll need to be considered for the role:

  • Office and administration skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of computer systems
  • Current full drivers licence
