The Opportunity:

We are looking for a motivated and compassionate physiotherapist to join our dynamic outpatient clinic and community-based team.

This is a rewarding opportunity for a physiotherapist with an interest in cardiorespiratory physiotherapy to develop their clinical expertise in a supportive and forward-thinking environment. You will work as part of an interdisciplinary team providing care primarily to adults living with respiratory conditions such as COPD, asthma, interstitial lung disease (ILD), bronchiectasis, and disordered breathing patterns.

Physiotherapy services are delivered through pulmonary rehabilitation programmes, disordered breathing and bronchiectasis clinics, and interdisciplinary complex case clinics. There are also exciting opportunities to contribute to and expand our telerehabilitation services.

Our team is committed to innovation, quality improvement, and ongoing professional development. We have a strong research focus and actively support postgraduate education, student supervision, and peer mentoring. As part of the wider Allied Health team, we have close links with the Department of Respiratory Medicine and work alongside a skilled team that includes a section head physiotherapist, nurse manager, advanced physiotherapy clinicians, respiratory nurses and consultants, physiotherapy assistants, and other care providers. We also collaborate closely with community stakeholders, non-profit organisations, and tertiary care providers to ensure a coordinated approach to care.

To succeed in this role, you will ideally have a minimum of six months’ experience in cardiorespiratory physiotherapy. You will bring excellent communication and organisational skills and be committed to building strong, respectful relationships with patients, their whaanau, and colleagues.

Essential:

  • New Zealand Registered Physiotherapist with a current APC
  • Minimum 5 year’s experience as a Physiotherapist
