Medical Imaging Technologist (Parental Leave Cover) at Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora Capital, Coast & Hutt Valley, Wellington Hospital

Location: Wellington Hospital and Kenepuru Hospital

Contract: Fixed term Parental Leave Cover (could be full time or part time for the right applicant - please state your hours in your cover letter), Rostered and Rotating

About the Role 

Are you a qualified Medical Imaging Technologist (MIT) or Diagnostic Radiographer looking for a short-term opportunity to grow your experience, explore a new environment, or return to clinical work?

We're offering 6'8 month fixed-term roles to cover parental leave, and we'd love to hear from proactive, passionate professionals ready to make a meaningful contribution.

About the Team/Service Location 

  • Parental Leave Cover: Step into a well-supported role while helping us maintain high-quality service during staff leave.
  • Modern Equipment: Work with our fleet of Philips DR X-ray machines and a state-of-the-art photon counting CT scanner at Kenepuru.

About you 

  • Passion for imaging and patient care
  • Strong technical and communication skills
  • Previous CT experience highly desirable
  • Flexibility and enthusiasm to contribute to a 24/7 service
