Experienced Physiotherapist Inpatient Neurology/ Medical at Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora Te Matau a Māui Hawke's Bay, Hawkes Bay

  • Permanent, Full-time 80 hours per fortnight (1 FTE)

About the Role

As an experienced Physiotherapist, youll provide high-quality, patient-centred care within the inpatient neurology and medical wards at Hawkes Bay Hospital. Youll manage a diverse caseload, delivering safe and effective assessments, interventions, and discharge planning in collaboration with patients, whānau, and the wider multidisciplinary team. This role also includes contributing to the weekend acute physiotherapy service.

Youll be part of a team that values clinical excellence, cultural safety, and continuous improvement, with opportunities to mentor students, participate in service development, and lead quality initiatives.

Our Allied Health Therapies team at Fallen Soldiers Memorial Hospital in Hastings is a collaborative and supportive group of professionals delivering physiotherapy services across inpatient settings. About you

As a Physiotherapist, you will bring:

  • A Bachelor of Physiotherapy (or equivalent) and current NZ registration with APC.
  • At least 3 years of clinical experience, ideally in neurorehabilitation or inpatient care.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within an interprofessional team.
  • A full NZ drivers licence and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • A commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, equity, and culturally safe practice.
