About the role | Mō te tūranga mahi

We are looking for a permanent Performance & Capacity Engineer with deep expertise in ServiceNow to join our team at ACC.

In this role, you'll be working across the broader IT Service Management (ITSM) space, contributing to key areas such as:

  • ServiceNow Development: You'll get hands-on with both front-end and back-end development, helping shape how ServiceNow operates under the hood.
  • Configuration Management Database: Ensuring data integrity and supporting performance insights.
  • Incident Management: Enhancing responsiveness and system reliability through smart automation and analysis.
  • Event and Alert Management Rules: You'll create and refine rules that drive intelligent alerting and system visibility which are critical parts of our performance strategy.
  • Support ITOM, Service Mapping and CI Discovery as part of our growing ServiceNow practice
  • Engage with stakeholders on new ways of maximising value from ServiceNow as it matures at ACC such as dashboarding and forms

ServiceNow is a rapidly growing product at ACC, and this role offers the opportunity to develop and influence its evolution from infrastructure insights to service delivery excellence. With plenty of work ahead, you'll have the freedom to experiment, solve complex challenges, and leave your mark on a product that's critical to ACC's success.

About you | Mōu

We are looking for someone who can:

  • Demonstrate proven hands-on experience in configuring ServiceNow
  • Contribute to and lead the requirements gathering, design, development, implementation and maintenance on the ServiceNow product.
  • Be a strong communicator and problem solver in a fast paced ever changing environment.
  • Have a genuine passion for ServiceNow capabilities and tools to deliver high quality solutions, inspired by best practices.

Plus, you'll have the following technical skills:

  • A minimum of five years' experience in an IT environment.
  • Technical understanding of ICT services and operational processes in large, complex organisations
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and contribute to team performance.
  • Ability to drive innovation, adopt new ways of working and remain flexible in changing environments.
  • Commitment to customer service and continual service improvement.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders.

The appointing salary for this role will sit between $101,287 and $131,077 and we offer an additional 9% superannuation contribution. ACC offer a comprehensive benefits package, including an advantageous superannuation scheme with features like 0% contribution required by you, optional life and income protection insurance, and the flexibility to change to a locked plan at any time, ensuring your financial security now and in retirement.
