Registered Nurse - Haemodialysis at Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora Te Tai Tokerau, Northland

Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role

  • Renal Unit, Whangarei Hospital
  • Permanent fulltime position, working 40 hours per week
  • Travel to and from other dialysis units across Northland to work as and when required
  • Participate in an on call after hours roster for acute haemodialysis

About the Role

We are looking for motivated Registered Nurses to join the team in Whangarei as a part of our Renal Service. The purpose of this role is to provide safe and therapeutic Haemodialysis treatments to Northland patients; including patients with ESRF, ARF and to those receiving Home Haemodialysis through Northland including statellite unit/s. You will maintain and enhance the professional standards of nursing and participate as an effective member of the wider Te Whatu Ora Te Tai Tokerau organisation.

About the Team/Service/ Location

The Renal Service has a MDT approach to patient care across Outpatient, Community and Inpatient settings.

There are 2 Haemodialysis Units based in Whangarei which provide chronic and acute haemodialysis treatments. You will work as part of team of 33 experienced Haemodialysis Nurses.

About you

  • Registered Nurse/Registered Comprehensive Nurse with current practicing certificate
  • Has or is working towards a post graduate qualification with a renal focus
  • The ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
  • A minimum 2 years clinical experience post-graduation
  • A commitment to work towards accomplishment of Competent PDRP level

Whilst not essential, applicants with previous experience in Renal / Haemodialysis will be highly desired.
