About the Role

As an Orderly in the Emergency Department, you will provide patient care by safely moving patients and items around the hospital in a courteous , professional and well-presented manner. Your presence will contribute to the effective day-to-day operations within the department.

This is a permanent role working 24/7 rotational roster Monday - Sunday.

No on-call is required.

In addition to hourly rates, we pay penal rates for evening and weekend work, and additional payments/time off if you are rostered to work on a public holiday.

You will be joining our team of nearly 10 who value teamwork and are committed to supporting the best possible health outcomes for our patients.

About you

As an Orderly in the Emergency Department, you will:

  • be an excellent communicator who is passionate about delivering a quality service,
  • be efficient and able to manage your time effectively,
  • have a clean driver's licence is essential.

Additionally, you must:

  • be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time,
  • be physically fit and active with knowledge of heaving lifting techniques,
  • have a clean driver's licence (essential),

Hotel / Porter / Orderly or Security worker experience would be advantageous, but is not essential. 

The successful candidate must be eligible to work in New Zealand or hold a valid NZ visa at the time of applying.
