Clinical Pharmacist Facilitator at Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora Te Matau a Māui Hawke's Bay, Hawkes Bay

  • Hawkes Bay Fallen Soldiers Hospital, Primary care based
  • Permanent, 1 x Full-time 80 hours per fortnight (1 FTE)
  • Permanent, 1 x Part-time 52 hours per fortnight (0.65 FTE)
  • Flexibility around hours for the right candidate

About the Role

A rare chance to get your foot in the door of this team which is `long standing and continuously achieves great outcomes.

Your main responsibility is to provide direct clinical pharmacist facilitation services, focusing on the appropriate prescribing and utilization of medicines to Primary Care.

About the Team/Service/ Location

With its own Team Leader to directly report to this close-knit team of Clinical Pharmacists offers a supportive environment in a role that does require you to be extremely autonomous.

About you

To apply for the role you must have the following:

  • Registered as a Pharmacist with the Pharmacy Council of New Zealand holding a valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) with no restrictions.
  • Hold a relevant clinical post-graduate qualification, is working towards this, or has work experience sufficient to demonstrate general pharmaceutical knowledge in core areas and/or specialist pharmaceutical knowledge in management of long-term conditions.
  • Current Drivers License.
  • Medicine review services, e.g. Medicines Therapy Assessment, Comprehensive Medicines Management or similar.
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills
  • Research, interpretation and provision of medicine information.
