About the Role

As a Support Worker - ICAMHS , you will: 

• support the clinical team at ICAMHS with an emphasis on supporting the specialist eating disorder clinicians and other health professionals in the delivery of quality client care;
• ensure that services are provided efficiently, safely and effectively. This could include working across multiple services including ICAMHS, Paediatrics and Wahi Oranga.

This is a permanent full time role working 80 hours per fortnight (1.0 FTE), Monday to Friday.

About the Team/Service/ Location

The Infant, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (ICAMHS) is a regional service for infants, children and youth aged up to aged 18 years with moderate to severe mental health conditions. Our disciplinary team is made up of psychiatrists, nurses, psychologists, occupational therapists, social workers and support workers, all trained in a range of treatment modalities.

About you

As a Support Worker - ICAMHS , you will: 

• be the type of person who fits into a cohesive team culture of collaborative practice, openness, humour, and respect across disciplines;
• engender confidence, trust and rapport with clients, their support networks and other agencies and service providers;
• preferably have had experience working within a mental health setting;
• have a passion for delivering services to children and young people who are experiencing mental health difficulties;
• have excellent skills in relationship development.
