Are you a hands-on technical leader ready to make an impact in healthcare?

We are seeking a dynamic Team Leader – Health Technology Operations to join our Clinical Engineering team. About the Role

  • Provide expert guidance on the full lifecycle of health technology: acquisition, calibration, performance checks, repairs, decontamination, decommissioning, and disposal.
  • Coordinate the onboarding, configuration, commissioning, and maintenance of medical equipment and systems.
  • Oversee compliance with NZ regulations, safety standards, and cybersecurity for devices.
  • Lead safety alert and recall management, incident investigation, and risk mitigation.
  • Drive innovation, continuous improvement, and cost-efficiency across operations.
  • Build team capacity and support workforce development and retention strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and national HTM partners.
  • Ensure high-quality service delivery, KPI tracking, and effective contract management.
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership, including budgeting and planning.

This is a permanent, full-time role working 80 hours per fortnight (1.0 FTE) , Monday to Friday. You will be based in either Palmerston North or Whanganui. You will report into the Clinical Engineering Manager based in Hawke's Bay.
