Background: We have two exciting opportunities to join our HR Advisory and Delivery team.
Following recent changes to our operating model and a retirement, we’re looking to fill two key positions that will help us deliver on our new regional service delivery approach.
The Police Service Operating Model (PSOM) introduced several new roles within HR to strengthen support for our business. Over the past few months, we’ve worked hard to build the right structure, and we’re now in the final stages of filling the remaining vacancies to ensure our new operating model is fully enabled and business delivery is met.

As a senior HR advisor, you will play a pivotal role in delivering proactive, high quality HR advice to managers and staff across the organisation.
You will be responsible for advising on a wide range of HR issues, supporting HR initiatives, and helping to create a positive and engaging workplace culture.
This role which involves supporting your own caseload, working in collaboration with other people related functions within the business, and advising in an ever evolving fast-paced business. You will engage with leaders to provide a wide variety of technical and solution orientated HR advice to support, coach and guide managers within the business.

Key Accountabilities:
- Can easily build relationships to proactively work with other business groups to enable a holistic approach in resolving employment matters.
- Able to respond in a timely manner to differing business needs, and can be pragmatic with advice and support.
- Uses HR expertise to provide current and relevant advice at a senior level that assesses and mitigates risk.
- Desirably demonstrate high performance in managing disciplinary matters, including providing expert advice and ensuring processes are handled fairly, consistently, and in alignment with organisational policies and employment legislation.

To ensure your success at this level we are seeking an experienced Senior HR Advisor with ideally 5 plus years of Advisory experience within a complex HR environment.

Utu ā-tau | Salary
This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $110,425 and $117,014 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
