• Registered Nurse Pre Admissions Nurse, Complex Care Team, New Plymouth Hospital, Fixed Term part time. 

0.7 FTE (56 hours per fortnight) Monday - Friday 0800-1630

• Parental Leave position for up to 12 months commencing January 2026

About the Role

An exciting opportunity to join the Pre Admission Planned Care team has become available and applications are invited from registered Nurses to fill this nursing position. The successful candidate would be required to work five 8-hour shift per fortnight between Monday to Friday.

About the Team/Service/ Location

This position is located in the Pre Admission service as part of Planned Care service in Surgical Outpatients. You will work alongside a wider multidisciplinary team preparing patients for their elective surgery.

About you

Ideally candidates will have: 

• A strong focus on patient assessment with a Post Graduate Assessment paper
• Surgical / Medical nursing experience - minimum 5 years preferable
• Be adaptable and flexible 
• Be committed to self-directed learning
• Current Annual Practising Certificate
• Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
