About the Role

Are you a highly organised and motivated administrator who thrives in a fast-paced environment? Do you enjoy supporting leaders, juggling priorities, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of a department?

We are seeking a proactive and professional Personal Assistant to support the Chief Nurse at Gisborne Hospital. This is a full-time role providing high-level administrative support to the Chief Nurse and the broader Nursing and Quality Services team.

In this role, you'll use your exceptional communication, coordination, and time management skills to:

  • Manage calendars, meetings, and communications
  • Support departmental planning, reporting, and quality systems
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders
  • Contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives within the team

Youll be a key point of contact within the hospital and the wider Tairāwhiti community, so professionalism, discretion, and relationship-building will be critical to your success.

About you

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

Proven experience as a PA or senior administrator, ideally in a healthcare setting

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Strong time management and the ability to prioritise competing demands

A flexible, professional, and team-focused approach
