About the Service

The Diagnostic Genetics laboratory provides a comprehensive service using both cytogenetic and molecular genetics techniques enabling us to resolve clinical diagnoses with a genetic component. The Microarray team uses chromosomal microarray analysis (CMA) to identify gains and losses of genomic material that are related to clinical phenotypes. Testing is provided for a wide range of clinical indications for both prenatal and postnatal referrals.
