About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive team of Consultant Dermatologists, with a range of subspecialty experience. This role will work across the Northern region which includes several hospitals in the Auckland and Northland districts. The role will require regular travel between hospitals in the region.
The service provides both outpatient and inpatient dermatology, and offers a full range of services on-site, including, Mohs micrographic surgery, patch testing and phototherapy.
Responsibilities for this position will include:
- Inpatient and outpatient medical dermatology
- Form part of after hours on-call service and dermatological research and quality assurance
- Teaching and supervision of trainee registrars and other junior medical staff will be included
- Opportunities to develop a subspecialty service may be available to suitable candidates.

The position is based at Te Whatu Ora Te Toka Tumai hospital, Auckland. The role will provide health and disability services to people living in the Auckland and Northland regions. Our main sites are Auckland City Hospital, Greenlane Clinical Centre and Starship Childrens Hospital, located in central Auckland.
