Physiotherapist - Allied Health Outpatients at Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora Te Matau a Māui Hawke's Bay, Hawkes Bay

About the Role

As a Physiotherapist in Allied Health Outpatients, youll play a key role in delivering safe, effective, and patient-centered care within our Musculoskeletal Outpatient Clinics. Your day will involve comprehensive assessments, developing tailored treatment plans, and working collaboratively with patients, their whānau, and the wider multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes. This is an opportunity to make a real difference by supporting recovery and improving quality of life for people across Hawkes Bay.

Youll also contribute to service improvement initiatives, mentor students, and participate in quality assurance activities, ensuring our physiotherapy service remains innovative and evidence-based. About the Team/Service/ Location

Our Allied Health Therapies team is based at Fallen Soldiers Memorial Hospital in Hastings, serving the Hawkes Bay community. We work closely with orthopaedic and multidisciplinary teams to provide outpatient physiotherapy services that support elective hip and knee surgery pathways and broader musculoskeletal care. About you

As a Physiotherapist, you will bring:

  • Bachelor of Physiotherapy (or equivalent) and current NZ registration with an Annual Practising Certificate.
  • Ability to engage effectively and respectfully with Māori, applying Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles in practice.
  • Strong clinical reasoning and communication skills, with a focus on patient safety and quality care.
  • A collaborative approach to working within interprofessional teams and supporting whānau-centered care.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a clean, full NZ drivers license.
