RN, EN or RNAA - Theatres & PACU, Wairau (1.0FTE) at Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora Nelson Marlborough, Wairau Hospital

About the Role

This role is based in the main theatre department where we provide public acute and elective services, as well as private cases.

Shifts are rostered Monday-Sunday, with on call after hours and at the weekends. 

About the Team/Location

Wairau Hospital Theatre Suite consists of 5 Operating Theatres with a Recovery Room, a Sterile Services department and Day Stay Unit. 

Surgical specialties covered include: General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, Urology, ENT, Ophthalmology, Dental and Acute/Trauma.

About You

You will be an experienced theatre nurse or RNAA with the ability to care for patients undergoing a variety of acute and elective surgical procedures. 

Team work is key in the operating theatre, so you will need to be a team-player with a collaborative attitude towards patient care. 

We will provide you with the opportunity to develop your qualities and extend your nursing practice.
