Mō te tūranga | About the role

Are you a skilled and experienced Workday systems administrator with a passion for optimizing systems and driving collaboration across teams? Do you thrive in a dynamic environment where your technical expertise makes a real impact?

As a Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) System Administrator at DOC, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting, configuring, and enhancing our Workday system to meet the evolving needs of our organization. Your expertise in system configuration, data analysis, data quality and report writing will directly contribute to an exceptional user experience, while your proactive problem-solving skills will help streamline processes across departments.

The position will be focussed on:

  • System Configuration & Support: Analyse and implement changes to Workday business processes and configuration, including security group management and system enhancements
  • Technical Support: Provide second-level support for technical issues, leveraging Workday Community for solutions and assisting with large-scale organizational changes
  • Reporting and dashboards: Develop and maintain custom reports and dashboards, ensuring data integrity and empowering users with self-service access to critical information
  • Training & Resources: Develop and maintain support materials, advising the People Capability and Culture team on Workday training resources
  • Collaboration & Relationship Management: Work cross-functionally within DOC and build relationships with external stakeholders to coordinate initiatives
  • Work Management & Delivery: Manage tasks according to work plans, identify and address risks, and ensure secure, compliant information management

Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience

If you have some of following, we are keen to hear from you:

  • 2+ years of experience with Workday HCM, Recruitment, Talent or Learning (or similar HR systems) in a technical or support role
  • Workday certifications in areas such as Security, HCM Fundamentals, Recruitment, Talent, Learning or Report Writing are preferred
  • Strong experience in data analysis, data quality, with the ability to handle complex datasets
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills, with a solutions-focused approach to resolving technical issues
  • Strong relationship-building skills, capable of gaining trust and fostering collaboration across teams and stakeholders
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on delivering results
  • High attention to detail and the ability to manage system configurations and enhancements
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to identify and implement improvements to system performance and user experience

The salary range for this position is $80,054.00 - $108,700.00 with the starting salary of the successful applicant being based on their relevant skills and experience.


Eligibility to work in New Zealand is mandatory - this includes holding a valid work visa that covers the whole period of employment.
