Mō te tūranga | About the role

We are looking for an experienced Property Coordinator to join our Property and Fleet Team. Reporting to our National Property & Fleet Manager, you will look after one of the most unique and diverse property portfolios in Aotearoa, managing properties from Cape Reinga to The Bluff and some remote islands. The team look after all of DOC's office buildings, workshops, infrastructure, residential houses and integrated property sites.

You will be responsible for providing specialist coordination to support smooth and successful project and business outcomes of project delivery meeting time, cost, and quality parameters. This will include:

  • Providing excellent administrative and financial support for a dispersed team
  • Assisting with tenancy management for our DOC staff accommodation
  • assisting with contract management, supplier set and invoice management within the SAP environment
  • gathering data and preparing property reports
  • coordinating internal and external meetings including scheduling, collating, preparation and distribution of minutes and actions, and chasing up of actions

You will be a nationally distributed team member. You can work from any location in Aotearoa dependent on the location and the occupancy level of the local offices. Some travel may be required but the ability to interact and stay engaged with a distributed team is crucial.

These roles call for property professionals who are keen to add value to the work we do and be part of a high performing team.

If you have some of following, we are keen to hear from you:

  • a proven track record as a project coordinator in a complex and changing environment, including experience in using project methodologies
  • experience in monitoring budgets, financial forecasting, and reporting
  • a demonstrated strong customer and people centric focus
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present information effectively
  • current full driving licence
  • demonstrated evidence of using initiative, able to anticipate and solve problems and an independent judgement to deal with critical tasks
  • understanding of quality assurance and control process
  • understanding of risk identification, analysis, and management

The salary range for this position is $68,878.00 - $94,100.00 with the starting salary of the successful applicant being based on their relevant skills and experience.
