About the Role
We are recruiting for full time permanent part-time position for a Dental Council New Zealand registered Dental/Oral Health Therapist to join our team. We are seeking either an experienced (minimum 12 months post graduate experience) Dental/Oral Health Therapist, or a new graduate Oral Health Therapist to commence January 2026 or a suitably qualified overseas candidate with current/pending Dental Council NZ registration in progress for this position

About the Team/Service/ Location
The position is based in the Bay of Plenty area. Our patient group in the Bay is 0 to 13 years of age. You will work as a member of a team on Mobile Units or in a fixed site clinic
The service offers ongoing professional development for team members and appropriate external learning opportunities by application. The Annual Practicing Certificate fee will be reimbursed, and a professional association membership fee is paid annually. We are committed to Māori health equity and increasing Māori and Pasifika participation in our workforce.
About you
You are a committed and adaptable professional who brings both technical skill and a patient-centred approach to your work.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Have current registration with Dental Council NZ and a current 2025/2026 Annual Practicing Certificate
- Demonstrate an understanding and commitment to culturally safe practices
- Participate and comply with health and safety in the workplace
- Hold a minimum of a restricted New Zealand Driver Licence
- Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.
