About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Nurse Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team on a 0.6 FTE permanent part-time basis. This advanced nursing role works with specific population groups and their whānau across planned care, inpatient services, and community settings.
You will bring expert assessment skills, advanced clinical reasoning, and specialist knowledge of complex conditions to provide coordinated, person-centred care. The role involves case management and coordination across the continuum of care, supporting seamless patient journeys through pre-hospital, emergency, acute, and planned services.
Your work will contribute to improved access, timeliness of care, enhanced patient and whānau experiences, and better health outcomes - particularly for priority populations.

About you
Essential:
- Registered Nurse with current NCNZ registration and Annual Practising Certificate
- Relevant postgraduate qualification (certificate or diploma in specialty nursing practice)
- PDRP Proficient or Expert, or on a supported pathway
- Demonstrated experience working as an advanced practice nurse with complex patient populations
- Strong understanding of and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, equity, and bicultural practice
- Experience in care coordination, case management, and multidisciplinary collaboration
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and quality improvement
Desirable:
- Masters degree or working towards a Masters in Nursing or a related field
- Research, audit, or quality improvement experience
- Experience in clinical teaching, mentoring, or service development
- Change management or project experience
