Mō te tūnga | About the role
The Ministerial Services Coordinator works as part of a small collaborative team focused on providing administrative support to the Office of the Minister of Police and members of the Executive based at Police National Headquarters. Working alongside other staff in the Ministerial Services team, the services coordinator has a key role to play in supporting Police Private Secretaries and other Ministerial Services staff.
This is an opportunity for you to work in one of the busiest and most interesting Ministerial teams in the Public Sector.
Key Accountabilities:
- Provides administrative support to the Office of the Minister of Police.
- Builds excellent working relationships with the Group and Minister’s office staff, exercising sound judgment in identifying issues of relevance, importance, and necessity.
- Manages the day-to-day office systems including diary management, meeting management co-ordination, correspondence, follow-ups and actions.
- Coordinates and organises travel, ensuring that all logistics (ground travel, flights, accommodation, briefing packs etc.) are managed and finalised in advance to enable seamless travel.
- Possesses integrity and loyalty, maintains confidentiality and discretion when executing the Director’s instructions and in managing information held by the Group.
- Establishes and maintains excellent relationships with Ministerial Services staff and points of contact with the Group’s key partners including: Office of the Minister of Police, office of the Commissioner of Police, other Police workgroups and public sector agencies. Attends regular Group Team Meetings and works collaboratively with the team to share best practice approaches.

Utu ā-tau | Salary
This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $80,295 and $83,973 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
