About the Role
We are seeking an experienced registered nurse with strong leadership and advanced nursing skills for the role of Clinical Nurse Coordinator.
In this role you will be providing support and leadership to the wards within the Surgical Directorate after hours (afternoons and weekends), helping support the ward coordinators with efficient patient flow, safe staffing, and clinical support.
In this role you will
- Working collaboratively with the Charge Nurses and Nurse Unit Managers,
- Be the key in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of clinical nursing care to patients and their whānau.
- Demonstrate clinical and professional leadership, leading and supporting nursing teams in all aspects of nursing care management within their wards on a daily basis.
This is a fulltime position working 40 hrs/week, Monday to Sunday, based at Te Toka Tumai Auckland

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Surgical nursing experience and be practicing at a senior level preferably with a postgraduate certificate or diploma in speciality nursing practice.
- Have at least 5 years post graduate experience preferably in surgical nursing
- Interact effectively with multiple teams and services
- Maintain safe cultural practice and develop your cultural knowledge.
- Excellent supervisory, communication and problem-solving skills in order relate to and work with staff and patients at all levels
- Ability to work afternoon and weekend shifts
- NZ nursing registration with a current Annual Practicing Certificate
