Ko tōu ake mahi - What you'll do
Our Health Research System Innovation team is responsible for providing evidence'based advice and leading strategic initiatives to strengthen the health research environment in Aotearoa. This role supports a multi-year work programme focused on strengthening Aotearoa's future health research system.
- Provide high'quality advice, analysis, papers and presentations to support inter'agency work
- Play a key leadership role in a cross-Ministry work programme and inter-agency workstreams
- Support effective engagement with the health research sector
- Build strong, collaborative relationships across the Ministry, health and research sectors and wider government.
Ko ngā pūkenga ōu - What you'll bring
- A relevant tertiary qualification with a health research component, or equivalent experience in the health research sector
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to work through complex system issues and develop clear, well-reasoned advice
- A sound understanding of Aotearoa's health research system, the wider research, science and innovation environment, or experience working at a system level in a related field
- Excellent relationship building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams, agencies and disciplines - particularly in fast-moving or evolving work programmes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to synthesise information and communicate it clearly to different audiences
- Proven ability to plan, prioritise and operate with a high degree of independence while contributing to a shared programme of work
- A commitment to upholding Te Tiriti o Waitangi in your work and supporting equitable health outcomes.
