This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly capable Manager with a strong project delivery background. This role leads and supports a large and dynamic workgroup of more than 100 staff responsible for delivering key initiatives within the investment plan and across Police.
The Manager oversees four direct reports who are Practice Leads across the disciplines of Programme and Project Management, Coordination, Analysis & Design, and Change Management.
Success in this role requires someone who can confidently manage staff allocation, ensure delivery outcomes and benefits are achieved, and operate effectively within a complex and continually evolving environment.
Key Accountabilities:
- Support approved initiatives through effective resourcing, prioritisation. insights, and ensuring overall resource allocation and utilisation is optimised.
- Manage a cost recovery model with strong financial acumen to maintain cost neutrality for the workgroup.
- Provide strategic leadership, guidance and advice to governance groups, SROs and key stakeholders through developing and maintaining strong relationships.
- Supporting procurement processes that drive efficiencies and create value for money with external agencies.
- Provide strategic leadership, guidance and advice to governance groups, SROs and key stakeholders on delivery.
- Drive capability uplift and professional development across project specialist roles.
- Ensure delivery systems, frameworks, policies, and processes are in place and adhered to for successful project outcomes.

Utu ā-tau | Salary
This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $184,267 and $204,741 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
