The Business Change unit sits within the Enterprise Digital Solutions group in the Digital Services branch. Digital Services leads strategy and enabling functions that lift digital maturity across the public sector and Te Tari Taiwhenua.

Digital maturity is about more than technology. We focus on governance, capability, and ways of working to deliver better outcomes and value for customers. The branch supports agencies and Te Tari through strategy, advice, and delivery to enable modern, adaptive public services.

The role | Te tūnga

Our work supports Aotearoa's future. As a Project Coordinator, you will be at the centre of some of DIA's most important projects - ensuring they are well'governed, well'controlled, and delivered successfully.

You will be a key member of the project and practice, supporting Project Managers, team members and stakeholders. Your ability to learn quickly, anticipate risks, and communicate clearly will directly influence our success.

This is not just an administrative role - it's a critical delivery role with real impact.

What you bring | Nōu te rourou

  • Experience coordinating projects or programmes in complex organisations
  • Experience managing core project controls (schedules, RAIDs, change control, reporting)
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, forecasts, and project finances
  • Strong stakeholder management experience across internal and external groups
  • Solid understanding of project lifecycles and methodologies
  • Ability to connect project activity to wider programme and business outcomes
  • Strong skills with MS Project, Excel, Word, and collaboration tools
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and deliver under pressure
  • Clear, concise communication skills - written and verbal
  • Ability to anticipate risks, identify impacts, and take initiative
  • A continuous improvement mindset

The appointing range for this role $73,335 - $81,483, with the potential to appoint higher depending on level of experience.
