Procurement Analyst at Government Communications Security Bureau, Wellington

The Intelligence Community Shared Services (ICSS) support the Government Communications Security Bureau (GCSB) | Te Tira Tiaki and the New Zealand Security Intelligence Service (NZSIS) | Te Pā Whakamarumaru in the achievement of individual and joint agency strategic and operational outcomes.

The role

In this role you will deepen our understanding of the business, market dynamics, suppliers, supplier performance and our procurement processes helping us deliver cost savings, risk mitigation and smarter procurement decisions.

Working in a tight knit team, you will work collaboratively to support delivery of activities and outcomes across our portfolios and categories and you will build effective relationships with finance, the business, and our external partners to ensure better insights and outcomes from your work.

In this role you will:

  • Bring experience in research and data collection
  • Demonstrate your ability to analyse commercial and/or procurement data
  • Ensure your advice and insights are clear and can be relied on
  • Use your creativity and insight, to overcome complex challenges and drive improvement
  • Have excellent planning and organisational skills, with the capability to prioritise and thrive under pressure

The appointment range for this role is $87,048- $92,851.

 Before you apply

Working within our unique environment means we have to ensure you're eligible for employment.

You must:

  • Have been a New Zealand Citizen for at least 10 years

OR

Hold a current NZ Residency Class Visa and ideally have been a citizen of the UK, USA, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years

  • Be eligible to obtain a Top Secret Special (TSS) security clearance
    • Ordinarily, this means you'll have a 15 year checkable background in countries NZSIS Vetting can make meaningful and reliable checks.
