Join our highly specialised Rheumatology Service and make a meaningful difference for patients living with chronic and complex rheumatic conditions. This is an exciting opportunity to work at an advanced practice level within a passionate, collaborative, and forwardthinking multidisciplinary team.
What Youll Be Doing
As a Clinical Nurse Specialist Rheumatology, you will deliver expert nursing care primarily within our outpatient service, with some involvement in acute inpatient care. Your advanced skills will support complex assessments, patient education, and longterm disease management.
You will be a key driver in the continued development of the Rheumatology Service, including:
- Establishing and leading nurseled clinics
- Supporting biologic and emerging therapies
- Coordinating daystay infusions
- Providing education on subcutaneous therapies
- Contributing to clinical pathways and service improvement
- Mentoring nursing staff and supporting high clinical and documentation standards
About the Service
Our Rheumatology Service is a dynamic, predominantly outpatient-focused department providing specialist care to patients referred from general practice. You will join an experienced multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering patientcentred, highquality care in a supportive and fastpaced environment.
This role is based at North Shore Hospital.
About You
You are an experienced Registered Nurse who brings advanced clinical expertise, leadership, and a passion for improving outcomes for people with rheumatic disease. You will ideally have:
- Significant nursing experience in rheumatology or medical specialties
- Postgraduate qualifications (or working toward them) relevant to advanced practice
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex patients and undertake advanced assessments
- Experience with biologic therapies, infusions, or longterm patient education
- A positive, energetic approach to teaching, mentoring, and service development
