Registered Nurse - Emergency at Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora Te Tai Tokerau, Northland

  • Emergency Department, Whangarei Hospital
  • Permanent part-time position (0.9 FTE), working 36 hours per week
  • Shifts are 8 hours per day and rostered

About the Role

As a Registered Nurse, you will maintain and enhance the professional standards of nursing and contribute to further development of nursing within the service. You will have the ability to participate as an effective member of the wider organisation. In this role you will utilise professional knowledge and skills to provide a holistic approach to nursing care that is safe and of the highest quality possible. Emergency nursing experience is essential to fulfil working in this fast paced and busy hospital emergency department.

About you

  • Registered Nurse with a current Practicing Certificate
  • Recent emergency nursing experience working within a busy hospital with patients that require complex care
  • Good communication and people skills
  • Demonstrate an ability to practice in a culturally safe manner
  • Registered Nurses with experience in triage, initial assessment and management of acute and critical patients as part of a team in an emergency setting, will be highly desired.
