Consultant Psychiatrist - Regional Forensic Psychiatry Services at Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora Waitematā, Auckland

The Mason Clinic is the Auckland Regional Forensic Psychiatry Service that serves the Northern region of New Zealand, from the Bombay Hills to Cape Reinga, providing an integrated and comprehensive forensic mental health service covering a population of approximately two million people.

This service is based in Tāmaki Makaurau / Auckland, a thriving cosmopolitan city with well-established urban areas, native bush, harbours and beaches, and a thriving cafe culture. A great sense of community spirit binds the diverse population.

The Mason Clinic is a teaching hospital and prides itself on a well-developed academic culture in which research and learning is encouraged and supported. In addition, the Mason Clinic is inan exciting phase of development toward a long-term vision for state-of-the-art facilities that reflect our commitment to bicultural and trauma-informed practice.

In this role you will deliver clinical services across broad forensic psychiatric domains with opportunities to practice in inpatient, outpatient, prison in-reach, court and intellectual disability settings.
