Clinical Physiologist, Respiratory at Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora Tairāwhiti, Gisborne

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-focused Respiratory Physiologist to join our Diagnostics Services team at Gisborne Hospital. In this role, you will deliver high-quality respiratory and cardiac diagnostic testing while ensuring exceptional patient care.

You will perform a range of investigations including ECGs, spirometry, full lung function testing, FeNO, DLCO, and ambulatory monitoring, working closely with medical, allied health, and technical colleagues. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to service improvement, support equity in health outcomes, and be part of a collaborative and patient-centred team.

About the Team/Service/ Location

Our Diagnostics Services team provides essential diagnostic support across the hospital and wider community. About you

We would love to hear from you if you have:

  • A relevant Bachelors degree with health science components (CRPB-approved or equivalent)
  • Current CRPB registration and ANZSRS membership
  • Sound knowledge of respiratory anatomy and physiology
  • Experience in diagnostic testing including ECGs, spirometry, and full lung function testing
  • High standards of clinical quality and patient care
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively within a team
  • Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and a commitment to improving Māori health outcomes

Hospital-based experience post-qualification is desirable.
