Rotational Occupational Therapist (New Graduate)

Rotorua Hospital

Permanent, Fulltime

About the Role

The full time position is suitable for new graduate therapists, or someone who is wanting to consolidate their skills in a variety of clinical areas. This position is on a six monthly rotation.

The rotation includes the following areas:

  • Acute Orthopaedic and Surgical Services
  • General Medical and Neurology Services
  • Older Persons, Rehabilitation and Stroke Services

Opportunities for support and development within Rotorua Hospital include:

  • Clinical Supervision by Senior Staff
  • Professional Peer Review
  • Interdisciplinary New Graduate Peer Support within Rotorua Hospital
  • Regional Occupational Therapy New Graduate Support
  • Formal In-service Programme

In addition to providing direct Occupational Therapy, the Therapist will play a key role in contributing to the promotion and development of the Occupational Therapy service and the profession as a whole.

The role will allow you to complete the Occupational Therapy process with a varied caseload and provide the opportunity for working within the inpatient environment with the potential for some community follow-up work.
