Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Leadership: Provide advanced nursing expertise and mentorship to nursing teams within SACT infusion units.
- Collaborative Care: Partner with Medical and Radiation Oncology specialists and multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) to deliver integrated, patient-centred care.
- Acuity Management: Serve as the primary clinical resource for patients, whānau, and staff when acute presentations occur within SACT units.
- Strategic Delivery: Contribute to the senior nursing leadership team to enhance regional patient flow and ensure excellence in nurse-led, "closer to home" service delivery.
About You
We are seeking an innovative leader with a strong oncology background and a passion for health equity.
Essential Requirements:
- Qualifications: Current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC).
- Experience: Preferably an Oncology senior Nurse or an oncology experienced RN Level 4 who is Chemotherapy Certified
- Education: Post-graduate qualifications (preferably at masters level) with a commitment to pursuing Nurse Practitioner or Prescribing pathways.
- Clinical Expertise: Expert knowledge in SACT and the ability to manage complex clinical presentations and adverse reactions.
- Cultural Commitment: A proven commitment to biculturalism and achieving equitable health outcomes for Māori.
- Systems Savvy: Competence in Microsoft Office (Excel) and healthcare-specific IT systems.
- Collaborative Mindset: Strong communication skills with an ability to build regional relationships
