About the role:
Are you an inspiring senior nurse leader with a passion for excellence in neonatal care?
We are looking for a highly skilled and dedicated Charge Nurse Manager (CNM) to lead our dynamic Neonatal Unit at Kidz First.
This is a significant leadership role, providing professional, clinical, and operational management across a service that supports some of the most vulnerable peepi and their whaanau in our community.
As the Charge Nurse Manager for the Neonatal Unit, you will:
- Provide clinical and professional leadership for nursing and support staff
- Ensure highquality, whaanaucentred care using evidencebased and interdisciplinary approaches
- Oversee operational, financial, and staffing management for the Neonatal service
- Lead service development, strategic planning, and continuous quality improvement
- Support recruitment, retention, education, and development of nursing staff
- Champion the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, advancing equity and culturally safe practice
- Collaborate with clinical leaders, service managers, and regional partners to enhance neonatal care across Counties Manukau and beyond
About You:
- NZ Registered Nurse with current APC
- 7+ years neonatal nursing experience, post registration in a large hospital setting in NZ
- Proven management and/or leadership experience
- Commitment to continuous quality improvement, risk management and resource utilisation
