Sterilising Technician at Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora Lakes, Bay of Plenty

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Sterilisation Technician to support the service in Medical Day Stay Unit at Tauranga Hospital, you will be providing safe and efficient cleaning and disinfection of equipment in a busy service.

We currently deliver around 7000 endoscopic procedures per annum (gastrointestinal and respiratory procedures) via elective and acute lists, and the reprocessing service is a vital part of the team and our service model.

About you

What you will bring:

  • Flexible and open to working various shift patterns
  • Physically fit to manage a demanding workload effectively
  • Preferably holds a Sterilising Certificate, or shows willingness to gain the qualification
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude and excellent communication skills
  • Enjoys collaborating and contributing within a team environment
  • Maintains a strong attention to detail in all tasks
