Senior Speech Language Therapist, Mangere/Otara Locality - Specialist Community Health Services at Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora Counties Manukau, Auckland

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Speech Language Therapist to step into a Senior Speech Language Therapist role within our Mangere/Otara locality. This position is ideal for clinicians ready to take on leadership responsibilities while continuing hands-on practice with people experiencing high clinical complexity. In this role, you will provide expert care to maintain clients quality of life in their homes and communities, offer clinical leadership within the team, support high standards of practice and service development, and mentor colleagues to grow their clinical capabilities. There is also the opportunity to develop leadership skills through involvement in quality improvement, service development, and research initiatives.

Essential:

  • NZ Registered SLT with current annual practising certificate
  • Minimum 5+ years experience post-registration
  • Passion for working in a person/whaanau centred way to provide excellent care
  • Solution focussed, team player with excellent communication skills
  • Sound computer skills 
  • Full, clean drivers licence

Desired:

  • Experience in community setting
  • Evidence of post graduate study
  • Advanced assessment skills
  • Evidence of contributing to service development initiatives
