About the Role

As the clinical co-ordinator your responsibilities will include day-to-day oversight and management of clinical systems and processes, ensuring appropriate review of service user care, and clinical support and guidance to clinicians. Supporting our service to meet key performance objectives is an important part of the role. We are committed to upholding Te Tiriti o Waitangi and providing culturally safe care, reducing health inequity is embedded in everything we do.

Reporting to the Clinical Team Leader there will be opportunities to take part in recruitment and retention activities and involvement in service development projects. You will work closely with the Lead Clinician and Practice Supervisors in the service.

You will need to be clinically experienced with proven leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively at a senior clinical level with service users, colleagues, mental health service providers, government agencies and the NGO sector. Experience in peri natal mental health is desired but not essential.

About the Team/Service/ Location

Aronui Ora is a specialist secondary adult mental health service that offers mental health care during pregnancy and early parenthood (the first 12 months of an infants life). Aronui Ora is an exciting and rewarding area of mental health requiring advanced clinical skills in relation to adults, infants and the parent-infant relationship. The peri-natal period is a time of challenge but also growth and change- we are privileged to walk alongside parents as they navigate this time in their life.

Our team is made up of experienced mental health professionals including Specialist Psychiatrists, Clinical Psychologists, Social Workers, Mental Health Nurses and Occupational Therapists. There are also Cultural Advisors (Māori/Pacifica) and a Peer Support Specialist embedded into the team.

About you

To be a successful applicant for this role, you must meet the below requirements:

We welcome applications from experienced NZ registered Mental Health Nurses, Occupational Therapists and Social Workers.

You must be a NZ registered Mental Health Professional with a current APC.

A full and clean NZ driver licence is essential in this community-based role.

Minimum 3 years experience in the relevant mental health clinical environment, with at least 12 months in a senior role
